The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

What Does F.A.I.T.H. Stand For?

F is for Forgiveness.  We cannot have eternal life and heaven without God's forgiveness.

A is for Available.  Forgiveness is available for all, but it is not automatic.

I is for Impossible.  It is impossible for God to allow sin into heaven.  It is also impossible to please God through our own actions.

T is for Turn.  Turn means to repent from sin and self to Christ only.

H is for Heaven.  Heaven is eternal life, here and now and in the hereafter - but only through Christ.  Forsaking all, I trust Him!

HAROLD THOMPSON

Our Friend Harold Thompson went to be with the Lord on September 8th, 2009. Harold laid his bike down on the I 40 crosstown after being cut off in the lane he was riding. Harold was a very experienced and safe rider. The night before his accident he had sent out a video safety test to most of the FAITHRider Chapter at Rock Creek Baptist Church. Harold was a loving, easy to get along with guy. He was born May 28th 1941 at Shamrock Oklahoma. Harold was employed by Rainbo Baking Company and Wonder Bread, Oklahoma National Guard until retiring. For the last several years he worked at Harley World.

Harold loved Golfing, Fishing, watching Basketball, and riding his Harley. He served in several community organizations; Rock Creek Baptist Church FAITHRiders, OKC HOG Chapter web administrator, Exalted Ruler Shawnee Elks Lodge, and was a big part of the Annual Toy Run in Shawnee and Elks Free Throw Competition.

Harold is survived by four children, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He had two favorite sayings; the first was "You Know" and the second was "If you used it last and it breaks you fix it." Harold was the guy who knew where all the best pie was served through out Oklahoma and several bordering states. Harold was always dressed in Harley attire. We will miss his sweet spirit and his ability to tease a smile out of anyone.
